Faces of God

In politics as in life, how is it that Spirit can act as both the most powerful, and the weakest in all of existence? As the most powerful, it always provides us with the “perfect solution” for our condition and circumstances. Just align with it, be together with it, absorbed by it, and being as it guides you. In unexpected ways suffering is relieved, and circumstances improve for oneself and others. Often enough the result is nothing short of a true blessing, and depending on its scale can be transformative. Spirit acts the weakest when it is regularly overpowered by the smaller self, one’s ego. Busy living life, striving toward important goals, life is a competition for each and every one of us. One’s wants and needs push Spirit aside, the small self knows what to do. It often does, but only from its egocentric point of view. And no matter who you are, successful circumstances bring temptations. And  conscience, wisdom, and depth of mind are required to address them properly. But if one is lacking or corrupt in these ways the little self easily defeats the Spirit. And remaining convinced of its ways, continues on what is believed to be a godly path. Not to be fooled, true practitioners know that maintaining intimacy with “God” is what insures doing no harm. And that it brings about the most good.
